I wish there were a webpage where art teachers could share ideas for defending arts education. It would also be nice if art teachers knew that they could have their students contribute art to the likelihood gallery. Wouldn’t it be cool if students — k-12 students — could offer their work for sale through the gallery. That would sure make arts programs look a little more valuable! If I were an art teacher, I’d be DELIGHTED if one of my kids sold a piece or art, even if for $3. I’d make sure the whole world knew. And just think how the kid would feel! I know how I felt when a newspaper published a story i wrote when I was in the 5th grade. I felt good. Too good. And I was hooked. And doomed. But so what? Aren’t we all?

ah, you’re funny – you were doomed, but so what, aren’t we all – ha, that’s the spirit!

so you mean it’s intoxicating when you actually make a work of art and someone pays attention, right? that IS a powerful feeling and empowering kids to know themselves as creators is important work. i like your idea and as the OneWorld art project develops, i hope we can incorporate this and other great ideas, too.

cool things are in the works – OneWorld art project parties in a pack, world liberation kits, and more. we’re so glad you are along for the ride, glenn – we need your inventive mind!
